Driver side window

hey guys

On a trip to york from southampton the drivers side window stopped working.

Is this a common fault? a fuse?

i need help.

There are 2 fuses in the main fuse box (1 for each window). I suggest checking if either of these have blown before looking any further.

Does the boot solenoid still work? They are both on the same fuse, which is a green one on it's own tucked behind the main fusebox by your leg.

Hi, The problem could be fuses but also it could be a wire(s) cut through in the door quite a common problem it could also be your door switch or automatic door ecu jammed this is situated by the code box up behind the lower right hand side of the driver dash sometimes just disconecting the unit this will have the drop glass working again but only if everthing else checks out OK. Hope this helps.

Sorry to sound a bit stupid but i've searched on the net and cant seem to find what fuse i need. Can anyone shed any light on this for me?

The fuses are just standard automotive blade fuses. Availailable from any motor factors or online from somewhere like eBay...

Blade Fuses on eBay

Make sure you replace it with the same capacity (amp) fuse that came out. For the window motor fuses these are usually 25A ones.
