surely they wont be that interested to have me on board??
statistically im not exactly the most desirable customer.
Money is money, doesn't matter where it comes from and that's what they are in business for. They have always had favourable rates for Alfa drivers, even before AO got affiliated with them, and i think thats largely due to the fact that the majority of (but not all) Alfa owners are enthusiasts and drivers
therefore they probably don't see that type of customer as high risk - compared with all the John Doe's who, after nervously scraping through their tests drive kia's or ka's because they are a cheap means of getting from A-B.
As a benchmark for prices;
My best mate bought a GTA at 22, and as he has just told me paid £1100 with Direct Line but that was with 5years NCB.
I bought my 2.0 Sele' at 21 with 3 years NCB and paid around £900, maybe could have got it for less but i was already in contract with Admiral from my previous car.
For decent quotes try Sainsbury's with just you to drive, and also Admiral with both parents as drivers if their licences are clean.
