A kind of a confusing question lol but...Does the first driver on the insurance policy have to be the same person that is named on the logbook?

Will depend on the relationship to the person, but is usually preferred that the ph is the registered owner. its called insurable interest, if you take a policy out on someone elses car, the is nothing for you to gain as any claim payments/repairs go straight to the car owner so it gets into a grey area.
