Yes and yes.
Now about McPhersons and Q2 what i've understood is that there will be more steering wheel tugging and torque steer than with double wishbones, but other than that the Q2 will work fine. The Focus RS is an example of combination of McPhersons and Torsen-type diff. They say that it is very good on the racetrack but a little too aggressively setup for public roads, don't know how much of this is due to the McPherson/Torsen combination.
