Hi all,

Advice please!

I am getting a slight mis-fire on idle when the engine is warm. Temp sensor in car shows engine is running hot but I think that is a red herring as the temp on multiecuscan is fine.... Stat was replaced about 6 months ago.

MAF has been cleaned, new plugs fitted.

The car sounds very much like this chaps video on youtube:

Car is a 2 litre 2002.

Thanks in advance!

What did you use to clean your MAF?
Most things will leave a residue on the two sensor wires and that in turn can give false readings to the ECU. The ONLY thing you should consider using is Isoproyl Alcohol, even then, cleaning your MAF isn't really recommended. Try unplugging it and see if that improves things, if it does, buy a new Bosch MAF.

So MAF replaced (with genuine Bosch one), but still the problem is there ..

Any other suggestions, is it worth cleaning the throttle body/butterfly valve?

If I get multiecuscan on to check the voltages on the sensors what should I be looking for?

Thanks
