I am getting a slight mis-fire on idle when the engine is warm. Temp sensor in car shows engine is running hot but I think that is a red herring as the temp on multiecuscan is fine.... Stat was replaced about 6 months ago.
MAF has been cleaned, new plugs fitted.
The car sounds very much like this chaps video on youtube:
What did you use to clean your MAF?
Most things will leave a residue on the two sensor wires and that in turn can give false readings to the ECU. The ONLY thing you should consider using is Isoproyl Alcohol, even then, cleaning your MAF isn't really recommended. Try unplugging it and see if that improves things, if it does, buy a new Bosch MAF.
2 of the Lambda's were replaced 12 month's ago, suppose it could be the other 2! There's no fault codes :-/... Will try unplugging the MAF over the weekend..
MAF was cleaned with electrical contact cleaner spray from Halfords
Forgot to add after installing the MAF I did a self adaption reset on multiecuscan. Is this enough or should I do the ECU reset where I unplug the battery etc..
Is there anything I can look for in multiecuscan that would highlight this as the cause?
Thanks!
