It seams to depend on which garage does the upgrade. A friend of mine works in a main dealer and always left the spare, jack, etc in the boot because it will obviously still fit on the back.
I only know because I asked if he had any GTA skinny spares left over, because they would fit over my 305mm Brembos fine.
