In case anyone's interested I imported and fitted a Ragazzon exhaust (via Gazzella) last month. Bought the stainless tailbox with 2x80mm tips and the centre section with silencer. So far as I could tell this is identical to the AutoDelta product (Ragazzon definitely do their OEM work) other than AD use a straight through centre pipe.

I bought the centre pipe with silencer 'cause - memories of previous modified cars which droned down the motorway... plus it's easier to cut it out later than fit something that you omitted to buy... Tailbox is much smaller volume than std, and the actual exhaust tip int diameter (as opposed to the flared cosmetic bits) equates to a 2" pipe. So either they've carefully built in a degree of backpressure or, they're completely unscientific...

Upshot is, it looks better not that I've ever been able to see it from the driver's seat. And it sounds different but jury's still out if I really think it's better sounding. Hoods at the petrol station seem to like it...

Fractionally more sound inside the car and startup sound is way different. Much deeper note, none of the rasp and cackle of the std exhaust (which I actually quite liked ?).

You notice the difference at low revs for sure. But under hard acceleration whilst apparently rather impressive on outside, inside it sounds much the same. Possibly a little less crisp but it could be my memory of the std. exhaust playing tricks.

So now I have two complete cat back systems to play mix'n'match with as well as the option of cutting out the centre silencer... Anyone out there with a straight through centre pipe ?

But really I think the induction needs to open up a bit to get more of the classic Alfa V6 note into the cabin, or rip out some soundproofing...

And before anyone asks, is it any faster or more powerful ? wouldn't have a clue... picking any difference would be so miniscule that back to back dyno runs would be required. Bought it 'cause it irked me that my GTA was quieter and less charismatic than my old 75... Modern cars, so insulated and cossetting...

I'd upload the MP3's I made of the systems back to back but this system seems only to accept pics. Is that right or is my novice user status showing ?
