You would think in this day and age, they could fit a slightly more accurate system. Do they still use the old float style level sensors?
They could use digital volumetric sensors or something that are far more accurate, and probably no more expensive.

They then could have better messages than the usual.... 'Limited cruising range'.... such as 'Getting low', 'Really low', 'Vapour' and 'Get ya hazards ready'.
