Does anybody know if the solid brake pipes that fit directly into V6 front calipers are an Alfa only part??

If not where can I get hold of them? Too late to start ringing about tonight :(

my local motor factor made them up for me, same each side, in copper with new banjos for £1.50 each. Just take your old one in. They may not bend to shape but thats easy to do yourself in copper.
Make sure you use a proper brake spanner - its 11mm NOT 10. The only place I could find was Halfords after a dozen phone calls!

+1 to all that. I don't know why car manufacturers are allowed to make brake pipes and unions out of materials that corrode and seize. One of my pipes sheared on me at the weekend and it was only thanks to the incredibly friendly shopkeeper that lent me his pipe crimping kit for the day that I stand a chance of getting the car back on the road this week! Get friendly with your local shopkeeper, you might really need him one day ;)
