A few weeks ago I had to put my alfa 147 in the garage because the slave cylinder went, i haven't even had it back a week and now the clutch is just sticking to the floor, i have tried flicking it back up but it doesnt have any pressure to it and have checked under the car and there is a small leak of oil, can anyone help?
Check first to see if the clip holding the pedal to the master cylinder has failed. If not, get the garage to pick it up and repair it again, at their expense obviously. .
The fluid could easily get discoloured running over an oily surface, but it sounds like your slave is leaking. It's virtually unknown for a brand new concentric to leak (Only fitted to petrol model). Suspect your garage may be telling porkies!
I have taken it back to the garage and they said that the new slave had to much pressure because it was brand new and the others parts were the same age as the car and that has coursed the rest to go and the gearbox is leaking the oil and it's a 1.6 147 t-spark 16 valve engine nit sure what else it is
If the gearbox is leaking oil between the engine and gearbox it's normally because they have'nt re-sealed the concentric to the gearbox properly.
