Hi I am trying to remove the exhaust manifold on my Ph1. I have undone all of the nuts (9 in all i think) and its nice and loose but it wont come off, cant quiet see whats preventing it coming off before  I dismantle something that I dont need to has anybody got an ideas what also needs to be removed.

It does have aircon but so far as I can tell it not this that is preventing its removal.

Any ideas  would be helpful.

There's a support bracket behind the downpipe flange.. it's not hanging on that is it???
Yep I just think its awkward and needs very careful manipulation.

No that support bracket is broken, it must have snapped sometime ago.

I'll just have a fiddle around;) thanks guys.

Hi did you get the problem sorted?

I had a similar problem the other week!

It was the air con unit that was in the way, I manhandled the manifold to get it free and successfully managed to bend 2 of the studs!! so I ended up removing all the studs from the head after the manifold was out. Old for new policy with studs and bolts  just in case there are any problems down the line.
