Hello everyone,
had my first week of being an Alfa owner and so far all is good!
I picked up my first ever Alfa last Saturday, a 164 3.0 V6 24V Super (bit of a mouthful
) and loving it so far.
I've always had a softspot for anything with Alfa's V6 as they sound sublime but never took the plunge before. Wasn't even looking for one, I'd been searching for a Jeep Grand Cherokee to run over winter and came back with the 164
.
Bit of car history, other than boring stuff the past few cars I've had were a Porsche 944 S2 followed by a Mercedes C43 AMG and now an Alpina B10 V8S. Found out last winter that the Alpina is hopeless in the snow so I went looking for a Jeep but fortunately found a very tidy 164 instead. Its also nice to be back in a manual after 4 years of slushmatics!
Last friday the Alpina failed its MOT so at least I have the Alfa to keep me going. Who said German cars were more reliable
As for my dream Alfa, one day I'd love to own a Montreal.... when my numbers come up on the lottery!
