156 immobiliser

hi i have a 165 it starts every time but when i turn it off it wont start if i turn the key a few times then try to start it it trys then dies right away i have to wait 10 to 15 minutes i think it may be a dodgy immobiliser i am looking to find out if i can disable it many thanks :confused:

is the immobiliser "code" key light not going off? if that is then it may be the cam sensor if you can't restart with a warm engine.

Darren....most likely the crank sensor....if no little yellow/orange key symbol showing on dashboard !!

You can double check with diagnosis...P0335 or P0355 fault code...can't remember which one....RPM sensor (crankshaft).....most ordinary local garages can do it for you.

If you mean change the crank sensor from above.
Yes I did.
Easy reach from above with the throttle-body removed.

Others prefer to do it from below.
