We travel to town London, off-peak sometimes and quite enjoy the experience.
: How I hated pulling that leather strap Sunday's at midnight before that Catterick Camp flyer departed from KingsX. Conversely I enjoyed the trip at a later period from Waterloo to Andover.
But my favourite rail journey at that time has to be from the Hook of Holland/Hanover/Fallingbostel, that was a really enjoyable experience, especially after the North Sea crossing on the SS Parkstone.
