has anyone had this done? and is it recommended?


im undecided as t wether to get it done or not

I also agree with ghostydog and 156Chris it aint worth spending the money for about 20bhp extra if you are lucky .If you want a remap you are better off getting a JTD or JTDM powered ALFA you can get up to 70bhp more from a remap .

scottylad, after a reading these remap threads for a few years I've come to the conclusion that the best value way is to have it dyno tuned, most remappers throw a generic map on your car that's kind of a one size fits all, it'll be okay but not perfect for your engine as all engines have a standard deviation in manufacture no two are exactly the same plus different engines and ancilliaries will wear at different rates so ideally the best is to get it on a rolling road and have it tuned specifically for your car, it might cost a bit more but you'll get a better result.

Pick up a set of the larger intake runners from 3.0 or GTA and go for a remap after that - should give a worthwhile increase in power
