Wife's aunts tele a few years ago went on the blink just outside warranty....Traced fault to 1 wee silicon chip.....Arranged via a mate to phone the manufactures technical support...Is the set under warranty asked the guy...No Just out....Well If you are getting the chip make sure you get the corect software version as it will only work with the correct version......How much is it I enquired around £250 +vat....Do you want one he asked .>>>NAw says I A whole new television set is only £299 with 1 years warranty..

She bought a different brand and the other went in the skip.
