If the R clip has snapped, the flexible hose will now be detached from the top of the slave cylinder connection. You should be able to see this without removing the battery tray, but a torch and a mirror may be useful.
If the slave cylinder (concentric) has suddenly let go, all the fluid will be in the bellhousing where you won't see it. The gearbox will need to be removed for repairs.
This clip went on my GT last nite. Did a temp fix with a keyring loop to get me home (MacGyver has nothing on me)
What exactly is this hose? where should it be connected?
