I've looked at Monza Sports who aren't too far from me - are they spot on for servicing? Not too worried about cost luckily, it's the quality I'm after.
Depends on who you're selling too. I'd rather see a specialist stamp if it was me. However, I'm not concerned about a resale difference as apart from the fact I keep my cars until they're completely FUBAR, the money saved on servicing would far outweigh any money lost on resale.
Personally, I would recommend Red Motori, but they might be a bit far away from you.
No worries. By the way, I'm not saying Monza aren't any good, they're quite far away from me and I don't know anyone who uses them. I'm just going on my experience of dealers in general for any make of car I've owned.
If Monza have a good rep and you're happy to pay the money, then you might feel more comfortable. I just wouldn't myself!
What's your opinion of Meridien Milano? I went to the Farlington one a couple of times when I was looking at the Blackline, but I thought that they weren't good a being fair on negotiations. In fact they were 'that's the price end of' sort of people.
Becasue of that, I probably won't go near them for servicing. There's one in Bournemouth too so I'm rightly or wrongly going to assume they'll be the same?
I remember going to the Farlington one a few months ago with my dad when he had his old Alfa as it is round the corner from where I live, I thought the job they do is good but the service is rubbish, they have no clue on how to talk to customers.
Just my opinion on them.
Don't know about Meridien Milano, are they the ones in Bournemouth? TBH, since I discovered Red Motori, I haven't bothered with anyone else. Apart from my Dad, who also uses Red Motori, I don't know any other Alfa drivers!
I wouldn`t recommend M.M.B as I have taken mine there for a service and they didn`t do hardly anything fot the best part of £400.00. I also asked them to look at the idling as it is running ropey, said they fixed it and guess what.....no they didn`t, and that was the second time they had tried. I took it they cause I wanted the dealer stamp but I would seriously consider a repable indy next time. 3/10 is my rating. Kev.
Monza has my cars (GT & 156) & are good to deal with, I started 4/5 years ago when they were Independent, now they are Alfa approved. Recommend & I drive miles to get there. I like the service they do & give, only touch Alfas...................
Its not a posh garage, but the guy knows his stuff. Had my car serviced by him a couple of months ago and couldn't fault it. My boss recommended him to me as he's got a troublesome 147 selespeed, well not so troublesome now.
I use Rusper Alfa Romeo who are excellent. Ive spoken to Monza a couple of times and always been very very helpful. Long story but it was Monza who put me on to Rusper.
I have used Rusper and they are brilliant, helpful, reasonable and very knowledgable and all round nice guys - no iam not on comisson lol just had a great service from them.
I can definately recommend Monza. Even though it's a 120-mile round trip I've used them to service my 147 and now my 156. I have a local dealer and independent within 10-miles, but the experience with them hasn't been as good. Monza have always done a great job for me and I trust them. Keith the Service Manager is always happy to help.
The Farlington one isn't very good for customer service. They were the ones who wouldn't budge on the price of their Blackline Q2 Demo, leaving it at list price!
I wouldn't use them for anything because of this experience alone. Looks like I'll end up using a specialist.
Roberts Aerospace and Automotive looks like the one to visit, only a few miles away.
