checking the belt is like looking out of the window to asses the weather - you cant rely on it. In my book, maximum 40k or 4 years on a belt.
Like others said get it done:
Belt
Tensioner
Pulleys x2
water pump to metal GTV impellor.
Pulleys or tensioner are just as likely to go as the belt itself.
Your mechanic will need the special camlocks for a proper job.
