I'm glad you agree with me because that was the whole point of the thread.

The original post was highlighting how anti terror legislation had been suborned by Councils to be used for pretty trivial issues, most of which are not even criminal charges but conveniently result in a fine being paid to a local council (e.g. littering, fouling of footpaths etc.).

Criticising this abuse of legislation is not a criticism of our police or armed forces (by me anyway) so please don't take is as such.
