This is the Novitec open induction kit with a pipe that is supplied which moves the induction cone from the left hand side of the block to the right hand side of the block.

Although it looks great it clearly shows this system wasnt very well thought out as the pipe and cone sits right above one of the hottest items of any NA (non-turbo) car - The Exhaust Manifold. Wheather this system was designed to alter Torque I dont know. As for other brand induction kits ie K&N and Pipercross I guess they simply bolt onto the end of the massflow meter and are feed via a cold air feed, without seeing one i wouldn't know.

This is a cheap open induction kit off eBay. As you can see it simply bolts onto the end of the mass airflow meter.



By altering the length of the pipework between airfilter and throttle body you can accutaly alter the torque curve.
