i have logged real time data on cars optimised for 95 ron and you would be surprised by how much the timing retards when the weather is hot etc. The engine is optimized at 95 but id doesnt mean that it will not detonate under certain cirqumstances.
I agree it may make a differenc eon other cars, but were talking about the alfa gta engine management system, and it will not make any difference to performance using anything other than 95 RON.
Do a few searches, its been discussed here at length many times before. The ECU isnt capable of making an adjustment to take advantage of an increase in RON.
