Re: What Is The Value Of A Restored 75 2.5L ?, And Advise Please.

insurance cost me £200 for £2k agreed value on a limited mileage policy as they are now into classic territory, however not all policies cover for commuting, which is a pain if its a nice day and you need cheering up.

The trouble with these cars they can be addictive and a restoration can cost a fortune. I have seen cars for as much as £4k for a fairly standard one, don't know if it sold for that though, I suspect not. The other thing affecting value is a rather small target audience, a Spider by comparison will appeal to many because of the open roof and the GTV, its coupe looks. I overheard someone saying about my car its was the ugliest car he had ever seen (I took it as a complement ).

Do it because you like the car and wish to have a sense of achievement in keeping it going and looking good and meeting like minded people, but it will not make you any money, probably the reverse.
