Spoke to the dealer since I'd asked them to arrange a proper test drive and they said that HQ at the moment doesn't allow any test drives other than as passengers

The cars are massively oversubscribed and for whatever other reason Nissan thinks they need not allow prospective buyers to actually try their cars.

That's it, they can keep their souped up washing machine.
