If we are talking old (164 type) 3ltr 24v motor, the new type will not fit! (well it might, but you will lose drive to your oil pump!)
The gear under the exhaust cam, right bank, used to drive the distributor and oil pump on the old 12v units... When Alfa fitted the dohc heads and went over to motronic, they ditched the dizzy, but retained the oil pump and drive assy
