Generally standard exhausts are very restrictive. Alfa ones are very good but you can always do better

Racing cars have racing engines and commensurately exhausts are designed to suit the higher state of tune.
The standard exhaust is designed to go with the engine's "standard" state of tune and altering to a big-bore etc etc will make very little difference (if any at all) to performance. Ditto for induction kits.
