What about the RST V8 developed for the Caterham Levante and the Aerial Atom?
500bhp, 10k rpm from a powerplant that weighs in at 90kg! Impressive figures but not really an 'every day' engine.

And what's the VW TSI engine like with a supercharger + turbo strapped to a 1.4 engine? Is it as swish as it sounds or is it a bit of a flop? It's a nice idea but not heard much real-life feedback from it.
