Most highly tuned, stressed out motors require a rebuild afterwards tho

but then, 73 bhp from 633 cc isn't alot anyway (3800cc divided by 6)

What i don't understand is why can't you get 50bhp from 500cc? Ie 300bhp from a 3ltr (that seems to be the general concensuss in the Alfa world )

I have no doubt that Dawie is a clever bloke, but 3.8 is BIG motor, anyone could expect that sort of power output....

Dawie has been experimenting for years with different conrods. First he used the BMW M3 conrods and now Pauter. As far as i know, he has built 3 full race engines......one for the USA, UK and our one. He's never had any failure with one of them. If Pauter conrods are good enough to handle the power from turbo cars, then it's more than adequate for NA cars
