Hi!!!
Maybe a "knocking" is the source of this behaviour...
Did You tried to modify the ignition position?
When knock sensor said "knock" to ECU, the ECU will shift one gear upper ASAP if the rpm is high... as I experienced...
I'm just thinking about power up my 166 - 3.0:
My plan: GTA inlet + camshaft +injectors (I'm looking for 2nd hand from these stuffs...any idea where can I buy?), exhaust, air filter, remap.
Is it enough, or is there any simply modification what is increase the performance?
(I'm thinking about changing the quartz inside the ECU and Gearbox ECU... maybe the communication stay good, and the rev limit will higher thanks to a few percent different clock... As I know there is no any way to change gearbox rev limit higher...)
