I'm sorry to say that the thought of £400+ road tax was it for me, she was also getting about ready for a belt change so I've jumped ship and ordered a Golf bluemotion....... (£40 a year road tax

) Its been a bumpy 2 and a half years, I've gone through two gearboxes but she was the best car I've ever owned. Thanks for the help and info. lol maybe one day I'll be back.
