Re: MG ZT VS Alfa Romeo 159
I have two colleagues with them, one has just had the Dual mass flywheel, clutch and slave cyl done at 94,000 miles. No other problems on his diesel ZT,
The other has a ZS 2 litre V6 which is his pride and joy (its one of the last, and he keeps it immaculate). His previous two cars were a Subaru Impreza...and an Alfa Romeo 155 2.0. He thinks the MG is the 'nicest' car of the lot, fast, good handling and very refined. He's had no trouble either.
If you look at all the J.D. surveys you will find they have historically had a better record than Alfa, but like any car they have certain 'known' weaknesses you need to be aware of. But any Alfa owner advising someone not to buy an MG for reliability reasons is on pretty shaky ground, cos we know Alfas are not unreliable...don't we!!
