I'm not buying, but I spotted what could be a bargain in the local paper.

"MGZT 05/54 1.8Turbo 160bhp Silver, demo plus 1 owner FSH, half leather,aircon,e/w alloys, (all the toys) etc.etc. 6,000 miles from new, £7,495"

Thats a hell of a lot of nearly new car for not very much..but I'd want a damn good warranty with that motor though as there are a few issues with it, but no worse than the cam belt issue on 156/147.
