Good find.

I think it was a pretty fair and mostly affectionate view by the Audi lads. Some negatives but people are allowed their opinions.

Nice to see one guy slap down the silly old TG story about its torque steer problems.

Perfection is not cool anyway.

Having had an original cooking A4 from new for several years - I couldn't wait to get rid of it. Seats gave me a numb b*m after a long drive. Cambelt change needed the whole front of car removing = very expensive. I certainly wasn't pleased with the frequency of drop link failures or the dealer's initial suggestion thatthe old bedstead type squeaking at low speeds was not a problem until VAG finally owned up to the poor design reliability.

That said I'd love an RS4 Avant or maybe S8 but I wouldn't really want another model. Beautifully built, a bit over-priced despite the good-ish residuals but devoid of driver involvement and any soul.

Nostalgia isn't what it used to be.
