If you have removed the resonator box so you just have a hole going into the side of the air box, you will only be moving the intake, not improving the width or flow of the air into the filter box. The V6 pipe is angled so it gets air from just behind the headlight assembly infront of the passenger side wheel well area. It will keep the entry to the air box higher so less likely to pull in water, cack and muck. Up to you if you want to add it. I'd guess no change in power or noise.

Audi A4 1.8 TSE (163) It is turbocharged, does 32mpg easily, and is really well screwed together. I'm going to miss the Alfa character - But I like the idea of Audi reliability!
