He did say though that they do a before and after of your actual BHP so I don't believe he's trying to hide anything.

Can anyone confirm whether or not you do actually get an increase of 30BHP? As that sounds way too good to be true.
A 20lbft gain on peak torque sounds feasible, 25-30bhp from a remap alone is not feasible. But like OA says you weren't talking to the right guy. Augusto knows his stuff when it comes to remapping.

However, it would be entirely possible for you to get an easy 30bhp, if you think the car would benefit enough from it to be worth the money, and of course you'd have to be happy to foot the bills.

To get 30bhp you'd need to put on full sports exhaust including manifold and decat, the free-est flowing air filter you could find & only then get it remapped, including optimizing the timing for high octane fuel, and increasing the red-line to 7,500rpm.. There you go, you could be sure to have at least 180, maybe even 190bhp after all that. Marko on here got his 2.0 twinny to about 210bhp but I'm positive he got a lot of the internals changed over for racing parts after his cambelt snapped and it needed a rebuild, so the engine could withstand operating over 7,000rpm for long periods of time..

But if you did do this, you would shift peak torque further up the curve, it'd be even more peaky than a T.S. is already and it'd be no better below 3,000rpm than it is at the moment, if anything it'd be worse. But it certainly would be a fun car, and you'd start to give VTECs a run for their money
