I have only recently purchased my 1986 Spider S3 QV.
When I asked him, the classic car dealer I bought it from advised me that the car would run on unleaded fuel no problem, and in fact he himself had put unleaded into the car, (as I did, to drive home from Kent).
Can I check with those in the know:
Is he correct?
Should my car be OK with unleaded, or should I be putting in a lead substitute?
The dealer
appeared to be experienced.
My car was in the showroom with vintage Rolls Royces, Bentleys, old Jaguars and Porsches. He said he puts unleaded into all of his classics and believed that a lead substitute was both a waste of time, and a rip off.
