Nev, it's dead easy for VAG cars. VAG.COM software allows you to alter ANY parameter of the car's electronics. For example, you can set the car up to autolock at xKPH, Flash the indicators/beep on locking - In fact virtually anything you want. I am NOT familiar with Alfa Romeo/Fiat "Examiner" (But hopefully I will be tomorrow....) but I can't see it being any more difficult to use than VAG.COM other than perhaps the Italian language interface - but that is easily overcome (I hope).
