It's probably too late now, but my tuppence worth is-

I used ***** & Yapps a few times & TBH if I lived in Cardiff, I'd come to Duncan at Alfanet Services over here in Bristol.

Actually, if I lived in Llanishen, I would drive the 30-odd miles to Bristol & pay the bridge toll, to use a competent specialist.

Had them do some accident repair & though it came back nicely painted, the gap at the top of the door was twice as wide as when I took it in.

when I bought the car from them I was told there was a full service history, whch they then refused to give me. The first night I had the car it over heated, because they had removed the rad fan fuse.

Having narrowly avoided an oncoming bus because they'd left a screwdriver under my seat after some work which wedged itself under my brake pedal, I took the screwdriver back. Upon politely recounting what had happened I got a blank look & ignored.

When I had them fix the internal fan speed control it apparently took them a half day to get the unit out - something I've since been able to do & replace inside of a 40 minute lunch break.

They did phone me up to suggest the car needed a service, but when I asked whether it would be a major or minor service they had no idea, nor did they have any idea what the last service was.

Why did I use them? because I didn't know of any other specialists at the time - more fool me.

For me, now I'll stick with a specialist who's competent to service Ferraris & Maseratis rather than a garage that can't spell Alfa right.

On the postive side, I have heard good things about L&M motors, can't remember where exactly they are though - somewhere between Cardiff & Newport.

My days of not taking you seriously are definitely coming to a middle
