I've got a 1998 156 2.0 TSpark.

Recently it started cutting out on me.

The 1st time i was stuck in traffic and stated again after 20 mins or so. Then drove fine for 2 weeks - no problems.

Next time it cut out I did maybe 15 miles on the motorway came off at a junction and cut out as I waited at the traffic lights. Again started after 20 mins or so.

Got it going again was nearly home but could feel the engine dropping power a bit, then stopped at more flipping traffic lights and cut out again. Again it started after 20 mins or so. Obviously more concerned this time since seems to be cutting out more regularly.

The engine doesnt appear to be over-heating and was driving fine between cutting out.

Anybody any ideas what might be wrong?

If I can't get it fixed relatively cheaply it's getting binned.
