So the brake switch is appearing as a fault when had the errors scanned on my jtd gt. I've done a search but all I can find is a brake light pedal switch as a part. Is this what I need to do you think?
Just another thing to add some background, the abs light sometimes appears on the dash. Could my error code therefore be relating to the abs switch?
ABS error can certainly be related to malfunctioning brake switch...
as far as I can tell, part number for the brake switch is 46840510
It could also be that the switch is not positioned correctly anymore... You can pull out the plunger on the switch, after which it will re-adjust to correct position (search on this forum, often a problem related to cruise contfrol). It's located near the brake pedal, the pedal controls the plunger on the switch
Well I also have a clutch switch error come up too. But I thought this was a different part to the brake switch. I had the master cylinder replaced not long ago so I was just going to reset the switch like you mentioned.
all I can find in eper is
46840510 for the brake switch, and
46840511 for the clutch
