Re: 2007 F1 contrustors championship
Call me an old fart, but...................... I genuinely believe the Constructors Championship is FAR more important than the drivers championship. The hype surrounding the drivers championship is mostly media-driven, and a relatively recent change in emphasis. Maybe few of you can remember when it was the CAR that won GPs and not the driver? There were many instances of 2 drivers driving the same car during a GP, and the car winning the race. For example Peter Collins gave up his (albeit slim) chance of winning the 1958 drivers championship by handing over his car to Mike Hawthorn mid-race. Which gave Hawthorn his one and only championship.
Of course, back then, GPs were real tough races, as opposed to the short sprints we have today, so attrition rates were much higher.
OK, I am an old fart.
