i would love to come for this. Only concern is will i get as many stone chips as i did at Bruntingthorpe.
Does anyone know if the track is stoney in any way?
I've not tried it myself but you can spray plasticote on the front of your car before the track day and peel it off after. I've seen videos on YouTube and read about it on other forums.
I'm in as well
Engine rebuild , gta clutch and Q2 being done at moment
Suspension & brakes next on the list, so will hopefully have a sorted car for May !
Thanks for the call today, Andy. Yes I could be in for this, even without a car
I just had a thought whilst getting to the end of this thread..., would it be wrong to suggest buying a Gtv for 200ish quid and seeing if it would last the day (or possibly longer)......?
Want to borrow some wadding to put in your exhaust Ian?
Seriously though... I do have a db meter if you want to meet up and we can see how loud it is?
It may limit my choice of car too
105db is reasonably loud, i had a system that was very loud before and it just managed to scrape through noise tests. Testing at 3000rpm is odd though, its usually around 3/4 of max rpm which is around 5500 ish
Nah thats the quiet one. I had a single 4" side exit Ragazzon with small silencer and unsilenced centre section previously, that frequently topped 109db. Got some Autodelta quads and an Alfaholics stainless centre section now, a lot quieter and tonally much nicer. At least now i can hear the induction roar as well
It would've been nice to have got as many 916s as poss. Obviously there will be other types of cars there, unless you hire the track for a 'private session' or get enough 916s to pre book the max number allowed......which is doubtful.
You may as well post this in 'Meets & Events' & open it up to all AOers?
Obviously 916 owners are getting heads up first !!
A total of 50 places are available per day, I hope most of the entry's will be 916ers but failing that I'd rather more Alfisti turn up then the general public.
will you still have Alfa let alone a 916 by then?
