Time for an update on this........ I felt a bit of a thunk from my brakes yesterday as I was about to get home (luckily), so to put my mind at rest I had to have a quick inspection. I have to say:
DON'T USE EBC YELLOWSTUFF
After careful bedding in, close to 1000 road miles, a trackday at Bedford, and another 3,000 miles on the road, the material on each pad was down to an average of 5mm. But the really scary thing was this:
Feck knows where the rest of the pad has gone
I've rattled an irate email off to EBC, but to be honest as they're a pad intended to be used on the track I'm not expecting any comeback. Needless to say I didn't expect them to do this halfway through their life, and I'm glad I had a set of DS2500 pads ready to go in. Should've listened the all the warnings about the yellow pads shouldn't I?
