I own about 4 or 5 in various grades of softness. The harshest one I use for washing, and I use a nice soft one for drying off. I then use another 2, one for applying wax and then another for taking it off. I use the other one for the interior leather and I use a cotton flannel for washing my alloys. Hope that helps!
